Wanted to share a song by Thomas Burks written from my poem “Far Enough”…Enjoy!
Here is a re-print of far enough…singer/songwriter/actor extraordinaire, Thomas Burks, has written music to this poem, bringing it to new height. I am honored.
santa ana winds you make me happy
palm trees flapping
great room sky
release my trappings
i sit in the wings that wait
alone in this moment
ready for the soft blanket
that will wrap me in something New
something Clean
fly me so far away
far enough to see
the best image of myself
far enough
to forget myself
so i can remember
who i can be

I’m so glad you alerted us to the number of remaining words….you came in just under the wire: had it been 44, I never would have clicked to read the rest. 🙂
